Short Audiotechnik Dietz and BOA offer various product ranges in the IN-Car Entertainment sector. At the forthcoming CAR+SOUND in Sinsheim, the Car-Multimedia-Specialists present the opportunity to steer BOA’s offered DVD-player as well as Dietz’s offered DVB-T tuner with an interface’s support via the already existing vehicle’s headunit. This is possible with IMU 1450 (Intelligent Multimedia Control Unit) which serves as interface between the DVD-player or the DVB-T tuner and the headunit. The devices can be connected via a special cable kit with the various navigation systems of Audi, Mercedes and VW. The DVD-player is a Stand-alone device for variable mounting and plays apart from all standard CD- and DVD-formats also MP3-/WMA-files, even textfiles (.txt), if requested. Moreover, pictures can be regarded with the player as well, even zooming and turning is possible. As interesting solution for people who like to carry their music collection in a compressed way, with the support of a front-sided USB-port; USB-sticks, MP3-players and even USB-hard disks can be connected.
